Salesforce has agreed to acquire Cresta, a developer of AI tools for customer service and contact centers, in a deal reported by The Information to be worth approximately $2.7 billion. Salesforce has not publicly confirmed that purchase price.
Cresta's products include voice agents that handle customer calls, tools that assist human representatives and analytics based on conversations. Salesforce intends to bring those capabilities into its Service Cloud and Agentforce ecosystem.
The agreement was announced November 2, and completion remains subject to customary conditions. Salesforce says Cresta will continue to support customers using leading contact-center and telephony platforms after the transaction closes.
