Backed by BlackRock-managed credit facilities, Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners, the Barcelona startup is expanding an operating system that helps television manufacturers generate advertising revenue.
Titan OS has secured $46 million in new financing combining equity and debt, bringing its total funding to $110 million.
Announced November 4, the investment includes equity from existing backers Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners, alongside a credit facility provided by funds and accounts managed by BlackRock.
The Barcelona-based company develops an independent operating system for smart televisions, competing with platforms such as Google TV and Roku.
Its business model centers on an important opportunity: helping television manufacturers continue earning money after selling their hardware.
Turning TVs Into Recurring Revenue Businesses
Most television manufacturers generate the majority of their revenue when a device is purchased.
Titan OS offers an alternative model.
Manufacturers integrate its operating system into their TVs, while Titan generates advertising revenue through sponsored placements, connected television campaigns and free ad-supported streaming television channels, known as FAST channels.
The company shares part of that revenue with manufacturing partners.
This creates an incentive for television brands to adopt Titan's software rather than develop and maintain their own operating systems.
For Titan, every additional device expands its advertising inventory and strengthens its ability to attract advertisers.
Reaching 30 Million Users
Titan OS now reaches approximately 30 million users, compared with 18 million last year.
Its manufacturing partners include Philips, Sharp, AOC, Vestel, Skyworth and JVC.
Philips has moved to Titan OS for its 2026 television models, replacing Google TV on those devices.
The company has also expanded its advertising distribution through partnerships involving TiVo and Tubi.
Titan says its revenue has increased fifteenfold since launch, although it has not disclosed absolute revenue or profitability.
Its team has expanded to approximately 250 employees, with an additional London office focused on advertising.
Founded by a Streaming Industry Veteran
Titan OS was founded in 2023 by Jacinto Roca, Timothy Edwards, Miquel Barba and Tobias Pfalzgraff.
Roca previously founded Wuaki.tv, a streaming business acquired by Japanese technology company Rakuten.
His experience in digital entertainment shaped Titan's strategy of connecting television manufacturers, content providers and advertisers through a shared platform.
The Next Challenge Is Global Expansion
The new funding will support international expansion, additional television manufacturing partnerships and investment in AI-powered content discovery.
Titan wants to reduce the time viewers spend searching for something to watch while improving advertising recommendations.
But competing with Google, Roku, Amazon and other established television platforms requires scale.
Titan must attract manufacturers, increase viewer engagement and demonstrate that advertising revenue can deliver meaningful recurring income to hardware partners.
At $110 million in total funding and a reported reach of 30 million users, Titan has established a significant European position.
The next test is whether that model can scale internationally.
