Pluto Security Raises $42M to Protect Companies From Risks Created by AI Agents

Pluto Security has emerged from stealth with $42 million in total funding to address cybersecurity risks created by the rapid adoption of AI agents and AI-generated software inside enterprises.

The financing includes an $8.5 million seed round led by TLV Partners and a $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital, with participation from Skinos, Ansa Capital and other investors.

Co-founded by CEO Shahar Bahat, Pluto develops a security platform that monitors how employees use AI tools, coding assistants, browser extensions and autonomous agents. Its technology is designed to identify potentially dangerous applications and workflows, assess the risks they introduce and help security teams enforce controls without preventing employees from adopting new software.

The problem is becoming more difficult as employees outside engineering departments increasingly build internal applications using AI. Software created to solve a business problem can unintentionally expose customer information, introduce insecure connections or give autonomous agents access to sensitive systems.

Pluto says it has exceeded $2 million in annual recurring revenue since beginning sales in April, with more than 30 enterprise customers including Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt and AlphaSense. The company also reports securing more than 1.5 million endpoints.

These figures are company-reported. Pluto's next challenge is proving that its platform can detect and prevent risks across a constantly changing set of AI products, particularly as autonomous agents gain permission to execute increasingly consequential actions.
