North.cloud Raises $60M to Manage the Cost of AI Infrastructure

North.cloud has raised $60 million in Series B funding led by PeakSpan Capital to manage cloud and AI infrastructure spend.

North.cloud, which sells a financial operating system for cloud, AI and data infrastructure spend, has raised $60 million in Series B funding led by PeakSpan Capital. Litquidity Ventures, Companyon Ventures, Alpaca, Uncommon Denominator, Gaingels and Mana Ventures also participated.

Co-founded and led by CEO Matt Biringer, the Brooklyn-based company will use the funding to expand automated cloud optimization, strengthen AI spend management and scale its teams.

North says it manages nearly $2 billion in cloud spend, has helped customers save more than $400 million, and counts AssemblyAI, Atlan, Tines, SnapLogic and Imply among its customers. Those figures are company-reported.

Cloud cost management is a mature, competitive category. The commercial question is whether North can keep finding meaningful savings as AI workloads grow and spending becomes harder to attribute, and whether customers keep paying once the easiest reductions have been captured.
