Cybersecurity company Hadrian has raised $40 million in a round co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin, bringing its total disclosed funding to $65 million. The Amsterdam-based company develops software intended to identify exploitable weaknesses before attackers can use them.

Hadrian’s platform focuses on offensive security: continuously examining externally exposed assets and testing risks rather than relying only on static vulnerability lists. The company positions AI-driven automation as a way to reduce the time security teams spend triaging findings that may not be actionable.

This is an attractive problem because large enterprises frequently have more alerts than people available to investigate them. But automated testing needs careful safeguards, and customers must be able to distinguish a theoretical vulnerability from a demonstrated risk. Accuracy matters because false positives can consume the very resources a platform promises to save.

Hadrian says customers have achieved faster resolution and stronger visibility, although these are company-reported performance claims. It plans to use the capital to expand across the United States and Europe and invest in product development. The commercial test is whether its tools consistently improve remediation outcomes across diverse enterprise environments.
