Altro Health has raised $7 million in funding led by NFX, with participation from Founder Collective and investor Abby Miller Levy. The company provides software and clinical infrastructure that wellness businesses can use to offer services under their own brands.
The offering combines technology with access to licensed clinicians and healthcare workflows. Altro says it can help businesses add services such as laboratory testing and prescription-based care without building the entire clinical operation themselves. That places the startup in a growing market for white-label healthcare infrastructure.
The operating model has meaningful regulatory exposure. A wellness brand cannot simply treat clinical services as another e-commerce feature: licensed professionals, prescribing rules, pharmacy relationships, patient data and state-by-state requirements all affect what can be offered and where.
Altro is betting that many consumer businesses want to expand into healthcare but lack the expertise to run the underlying operations. The financing supports that infrastructure strategy. Its long-term advantage will depend on consistent clinical standards and compliance as much as on the speed with which partner brands can launch new services.
